Stan

Where I'm from: I was born in 1979 in the United States. Currently, I live with my wife in Charlottesville, Virginia.

What I do: Currently, I'm a graduate student in Slavic Languages and Literatures (main focus on Russian), going for my Master's Degree. I teach and study, as well as work out, hang out with my wife and play sick amounts of SMS and NES games at least two times a week.

How I got interested in the Master System: My first exposure to the Master System was at my neighbor's house. We used to play Thunder Blade, Captain Silver, Zillion II: The Tri-Formation and Alex Kidd and the Lost Stars all the time. I liked it, and after collecting for the NES for a long time, I purchased a system and a few games off of a friend who no longer wanted it. After a week or so, I became really interested in the system and was quite surprised by many of the games released for it, especially some of those in Europe. After this, there was only constant sickness. I must play, every day.

Top five favorite games: This is a tough one. I like pretty much every game aside from some generic sports titles, but I guess the following would be my top five at the moment (in no particular order): Sonic the Hedgehog, Ys, Kenseiden, Gain Ground and Championship Hockey.

My SMS Collection: I have a ton of SMS games and related merchandise currently, looking to grab a few more rare accessories that no one really knows about. I have every US and PAL release, in terms of basically one of each and the rarest type of each game only. I have no real interest in collecting every single game or variation, and I like my games complete in sparkling condition. The only game I'm currently looking for is the Classic Version of Robocop Vs. The Terminator.

Picture: No picture currently.
