Craig Bryant

Where I'm from: I was born in Southampton on 28/09/1979. Now I live in Swindon and work in Reading. I also lived in Nottingham, Bristol and Toronto.

What I do: I'm a Trainee Solicitor (for 8 more months!). My hobbies are: SMS, football - watching and playing (big Leeds United fan), films and trashy American TV (CSI, 24, Family Guy, Las Vegas).

How I got interested in the Master System: When I was about 7 or 8 my older cousin got a Master System with Hang On and Safari Hunt built in. I was so jealous and used to go to his house all the time to play it. Eventually I convinced my parents to buy me one a few months later, to replace my Spectrum 128K+. I remember all my mates telling me to get a NES but there was something about the SMS I loved. I think it was that sexy grid packaging that won me over. Anyway, I remember what really got me hooked was the day my cousin came home from Toys R Us with a new game called Psychofox. I remember we didn't understand how to change animals and thought we needed to get one of the voodoo dolls. The day we discovered how to change into the pink hippo was one of the best days of my life. Anyway, about 4 years ago I was down at the pub with my cousin one night and we started talking about old games, then he mentioned Psychofox, which I had forgotten all about, and the memories started flooding back. In a drunken state I went home that night, logged onto eBay and got a SMS and started bidding on a few of the games I used to play. The same night I found this website (or segamastersystem.com) and it all kicked off.

Top five favorite games: Psychofox, Wonderboy 3: The Dragon's Trap, Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Phantasy Star, and Fantastic Dizzy.

My SMS Collection: Just over 200 Euro games, still need a few of the big boys like Smurfs 2, Masters of Combat, the Lucky Dime Caper gift set and Champonship Hockey but besides that elusive bunch I've got most of the other "rarer" games. Got a few boxed SMS's, a couple of pairs of boxed 3D Glasses, a couple of boxed Light Phasers, unopened controllers, boxed SG Commander and about 30 Brazilian games, the "best" of which are Fire and Ice and Battlemaniacs. Recently I've picked up Masters of Combat and Championship Hockey!
