After the popularity and success we've had here at Sega8Bit with the now annual Secret Santa, as well as the thus-far yearly Sega8Bit gathering, we've decided to make any events we hold for the community here a permanent part of the site. So what can you find here?
First, you'll see a short article by Ian about some Master System Christmas memories. Click on it for some short stories by Ian and Sinistral and feel free to contact us to have your own added to this section of the site if you have anything, especially any pictures.
Below this part, you'll find a Secret Santa article for each year we run it from now on. Following 'A Master System Christmas' you'll find our Secret Santa event from last year with pictures and commentary. The current Secret Santa for each year will follow below this, after each summer (or whenever) Sega8Bit gathering. We'll be trying to run these every year in the Summer (with plans starting around mid-Spring), and the Secret Santa from September until December. This gives everyone enough time to send their want lists, buy their presents and have them sent out before Christmas arrives. If the current Summer gathering or Secret Santa is still active and you want to get involved, click on the appropriate section below for more information.
In addition, we may have other holiday events as well, and whenever they happen, expect to see something about them here linking you to active topics or showing you what we've done and who took part. If you think of anything you'd like to see (perhaps a contest or article relating to a holiday and involving the Master System), go to the forum and start talking!
