Well, it was about time we here at Sega8Bit got together an official part of the page for all of our gaming events that we hold on the forum. Basically, what you have here is a page currently dedicated to two main sections of the site; the Sega8Bit Game Club and our newest addition, the Sega8Bit High Score Club.
The Game Club has been around for awhile now. For those of you who miss it all the time or haven't joined the forum yet, basically, as you can see near the bottom on the main page, the community runs through a list of members who choose a game for everyone else to play. Previously, games were only played for a week, but because we all have something of lives outside of the site, it was turned into a 'as long as we feel like playing this particular game' deal. Up until now, we've discussed what we like about said games, tips, and secrets we discover. However, from now, as a permanent part of the site, we will have a constantly updated list of the games as well as the community's rating of their overall quality. It will therefore function as a quick list to access the forum section, as well as a guide for members or new users looking at purchasing or playing various titles.
The High Score Club is the latest edition to the forum and already has been getting a bit of attention that's only sure to grow as challenges increase and frustration builds! This part of the site will include all games that have high score challenges. These can be updated at any time, so feel free to unearth older threads if you happen to have beaten the recorded high score. The list found within this part of the site will include the games that have thus far have high score rankings from community members, as well as the current high score for each particular title so you know what you have to do to make it!
